I can’t remember if this was a short film or an episode in a TV series, but I do remember this was my first time working on an international film production and once again being paid for my work as an actor (always very exciting!).
The film was a Hong Kong production, and they did provide a very elaborate booklet along with a copy of the film – which I will find and upload one day as it doesn’t seem to be online anywhere. The story revolved around an Asian family visiting Australia, and was set in a restaurant. The film was shot in a cafe somewhere near Wivenhoe Dam, north of Brisbane, and I was one of two ‘waitresses’ on set. The other waitress was played by Jean-Maree, whom I am still connected with on Facebook. She was the main waitress out of the two of us and was great to work with.
